Police arrested a teen who fled the scene of a domestic abuse crime and then returned 25 minutes after police left for the first time. According to reports, the boy then held his ex-girlfriend at gunpoint and assaulted her. Police charged the 17-year-old Allentown teen with aggravated assault, burglary, criminal trespass, receiving stolen property, carrying a firearm without a license, assault, harassment, and criminal mischief after the incident that occurred shortly before 6 a.m. on Memorial Day morning on Friendship Avenue in McKees Rocks. Police told reporters that they responded to a 5:56 a.m. call from neighbors that a young man was threatening a young woman with a gun. By the time police got there, the teen had fled. A second call, a little more than a half hour later at 6:36 a.m., brought police back to the scene. Police then discovered the door to the home of an 18-year-old that had been kicked in and broken. When police entered, they found the young woman with a cut lip. She told police that the 17-year-old choked her, held a gun to her head, and threatened to kill her. She told police that she struggled to break free, grabbed a small knife, and yelled for help. Upon searching, police found a handgun under a bed and eventually learned that it had been stolen from a home in Duquesne. The young man will be charged as an adult.
