Unlike many lawyers, Gary really takes the time to listen and understand your case. We called Gary on a Saturday night after our 16-year-old got into trouble with prescription drugs. Gary met with us the next day, a Sunday, and spent over two hours discussing our situation and reassuring us. You can tell from the start that Gary is a father and he understands your fears and concerns. He spent time talking with our son and treated him with such respect. His words made such a difference, not only to us but to our son as well.
Gary is a man of action and he works hard. He was on the phone that week with both the detective and the DA on the case. He returns phone calls in a timely manner and is always accessible. His level of professionalism is outstanding. Gary truly cares and goes the extra mile for his clients. Our son got a very favorable outcome and his record will be completely expunged. He can now move on from this experience, learn from it, and fulfill his dreams of attending a top college. I would 100% recommend Gary Gerson if you ever have a loved one in trouble!

Attorney Gerson helped my family, my son in particular, in a case. At the time of his arrest, my son was 18 and traveling from Maryland to Ohio to meet a girl whom he had met through the internet who, despite her claiming otherwise, was only 16. He took (stole) his dad’s car to meet her. Mr. Gerson was successful in negotiating a withdrawal of the original three counts, and an amendment of one of the more serious charges to be “not of a sexual nature,” which turned out to be a first degree misdemeanor and does NOT require the lifetime sex offender registry.
When all was said and done, my son was sentenced to one year of probation, which was transferred to his county of residence in Maryland. Thank you, Mr. Gerson! This was a very specific case that could have seen tremendously bad results for my son, but you made sure justice was served.
I recommend Attorney Gerson for his close attention to detail of our case and because he kept in close contact with us throughout the process.
Mr. Gerson was both very professional and courteous. His representation in my case was exceptional. His communications, by letter or phone, were of high caliber skill, but never overly confusing nor patronizing.
In addition, whenever Attorney Gerson was unavailable to speak with me (usually due to being in court), his return calls would be very timely. His courtroom presence, from his well-dressed appearance to his knowledge of law, his respect for the criminal justice system, and his unwaivering support for his client, are superior. I would also like to acknowledge Rick and Carol, his administrative assistant and secretary, for their professionalism and kindness.
I would definitely recommend Attorney Gary E. Gerson to others.
My 18-year old son was charged in Allegheny County with Rape of a Person Less than 13-Years of Age, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Statutory Sexual Assault, Aggravated Indecent Assault, Indecent Assault, Corruption of Minors, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Gary worked closely with our family, and met with us numerous times for as long as we required. Gary has excellent communication skills. He communicated with us by telephone, text, or email on countless occasions. He patiently answered all of our questions, did his best to make us feel comfortable with the accusations, and counseled us on the emotions we were experiencing. If Gary did not know the answer to a particular question, he would research the case law and get back to us.
My son was facing a maximum penalty of 20-40 years of imprisonment in a state corrections institution, with applicable mandatory minimum sentence of 10-20 years on the rape count. Gary was prepared to proceed with a jury trial; however, he successfully negotiated a plea agreement involving an alternative to jail at a county residential community center for 9 months (with work release), followed by 18 months of house arrest. By doing so, Gary achieved our ultimate goal of keeping my son out of state prison.
If you are in need effective criminal defense representation, I highly recommend attorney Gary Gerson.
My experience working with Gary Gerson and his firm was nothing short of spectacular. He was always friendly and accessible and willing to answer all sorts of questions I had for him. From the moment I met him I knew he was a person who would get things done and stop at nothing to take care of my issue.
Hiring him was the best decision I made because not only did he take care of my legal issue and get the whole thing wiped off my record, but in the process I never once even had to enter a courtroom! He took care of every step along the way and made the ordeal smooth and efficient. I would definitely recommend him to any close friends or family caught in a legal issue.
My husband and I were very worried about our daughter’s case being in the hands of someone who didn’t care. She had been involoved in an accident, in which she was driving, and her best friend died. She had a .09 BAC and was on prescription medication. We were given Gary Gerson’s number and told to call him. We immediately felt a connection. Gary did more and was in contact with us more in the first two days, than our other lawyer had done in over a year. Our daughter received a plea bargain and was remanded to the county jail for 9 months, as opposed to the five years the DA and family wanted to give her.
If we had not found Gary, I am sure our other lawyer would not have fought the DA on the charges as he showed no incentive to return our calls, let alone look at all the facts in the case. I would highly recommend Gary, no matter where you live in Pennsylvania. We feel his fees were reasonable and he is highly effective. Thank you, Gary. We have our family back.
Thoroughly reviewed my case with me. Clearly explained strategies and legal arguments. Eased my apprehensions. Experienced with the judicial process.
Without getting into the details of my case, let’s just say I was looking at spending a long time in jail for a crime I was only indirectly involved with. Other attorneys I spoke to gave me the run around, but Gary was very understanding and walked me through the process step by step. I’m finally back home and now I have a second chance at raising my children, being a husband, and taking care of my family. I can’t thank you enough Mr. Gerson.
Several months ago, I was pulled over for a DUI, and having never had any encounters with the criminal justice system before, I was so entirely grateful for Attorney Gerson. It was such a scary, stressful time, but he came through for me.
From the moment I called Gary, I knew I had made the right choice. I cannot begin to explain the amount of shame I felt surrounding my arrest and the fear of not knowing how I would get through it, but I eventually did and it was all thanks to Gary’s empathy and sound advice.
He really came through for me and I ended up getting a reckless driving charge with a minimal fine. It was short of a miracle what Mr. Gerson accomplished! Through the entire process, Gary was there for me. He is not only a quality attorney, but just a really great person in general. He cared and I could tell that he cared.

Thank you, Gary, for helping me get through one of the hardest times in my life! I highly recommend Attorney Gary Gerson and would send anyone who has had a run-in with the law to speak to him first.
My husband hired Gary after getting a DUI and he was extremely helpful. He answered all of our questions in a timely manner and got him exactly what he needed.
Gary Gerson is an extremely talented criminal defense lawyer. He showed impressive defense skills in court, he was always down to earth with me and friendly to everyone he met in my presence, but he was also tough enough to get things done.
